USA Rugby has released its Men’s Collegiate All-American XVs side, and once again D1A has dominated the field. Of the forty-five spots available, D1A players took up forty-one of those spots.

On the 1st All-American XV, Life University, the 2017 D1A National Champions, had a commanding presence with eight players selected to the first team. Their inter-conference rivals, Lindenwood University, saw three of their players selected to the first team. The Mid-South as a whole, had thirteen of their players crack into the All-American 1st XV.

The 2nd XV saw more institutional diversity with ten different programs represented. Life again had the most players selected to this team with two athletes making it onto the squad. They shared this honor with Penn State and Iona College, who also had two players selected on the second representative side. The Mid-South had four players chosen, followed closely by the Liberty conference which saw three of their student-athletes put in the squad.

Thirteen athletes from D1A made it to the 3rd XV. Ten colleges had a presence, Lindenwood enjoyed the most representation with two players selected. In total, there were five conferences represented. The Mid-South lead the way once more, with five players making the grade.
