Canterbury D1A Top 20: Week 12

D1A Rugby: Canterbury D1A Top 20: Week 12

BOULDER, Colo. – Although there is not much movement in this week’s Canterbury D1A Rugby Top 20, there is a fair amount of shakeups given the limited number of Division I rugby being played this late into the fall semester.

Life’s dominant 53-19 win over No. 3 Army did not see the Running Eagles jump 2014 D1A Champions Saint Mary’s for the No. 1 spot. However, the votes between the two powerhouses are beginning to split, and a less than punctuated victory next semester for Saint Mary’s could see the Gaels slip.

Redeeming itself from a recent loss to Army, Air Force traveled to southern California and handled San Diego State 48-16. The victory gave the Zoomies its sixth win of the season and pushed the West Conference’s top side ahead of Davenport to No. 6.

As D1A Rugby’s student-athletes begin to turn their attention to final exams and holiday vacations, Canterbury’s Top 20 will remain stagnant for two months and will be back with weekly rankings in 2015.
