Canterbury D1A Top 20 Week 24

D1A Rugby: Canterbury D1A Top 20 Week 24

BOULDER, Colo. – The final Canterbury D1A Top 20 of the 2014-15 regular season is out following the completion of the last three D1A conference matches of the year.

In California, No. 7 Cal Poly and No. 2 Saint Mary’s each earned blowout victories over San Diego State and Santa Clara, respectively. The teams hold firm to their rankings from last week, but the wins were still mightily important as the Gaels officially claimed the California Conference with their impressive 96-0 shutout, and the Mustangs are in no scare of missing the D1A Playoffs after their 48-7 dispatching of the Aztecs.

Davenport earned its first Mid-South Conference victory in program history when it dropped Lindenwood, 26-7. Interestingly enough, the Panthers’ first conference win in three seasons in the Mid-South was in such a clinical manner that its 19-point margin of victory was the widest point spread in six Mid-South games this spring. The second largest margin of victory out of the three-team beast of a conference occurred March 28 when Life beat Davenport by seven.
