Canterbury D1A Top 20: Week 25

D1A Rugby: Canterbury D1A Top 20: Week 25

LAFAYETTE, Colo. – April 16’s opening round of the D1A Playoffs is quickly approaching, meaning regular season matches are coming to a halt. With few games remaining on teams’ schedules ahead of the postseason, only a couple of changes to this week’s Canterbury D1A Top 20 took place.

The top-half of the rankings remain the same from last week, but Colorado State managed to move up one spot to No. 15 after taking apart instate rival Colorado, 62-5. The 57-point victory for the Rams was a far cry from their Oct. 2 loss to the Buffs in Boulder, Colo.

Wheeling Jesuit swapped spots with Wisconsin this week. The Cardinals have impressed of late with a 76-14 win over Michigan and narrowly falling to Clemson, 35-31, and now sit at No. 17.

Finally, Oklahoma reaches No. 19 after filling out the rankings at No. 20 for multiple weeks. The one-loss Sooners move ahead of Santa Clara after the Broncos couldn’t stay competitive with Saint Mary’s in their 100-24 loss to the second-ranked Gaels.
