Canterbury D1A Top 20: Week 8

D1A Rugby: Canterbury D1A Top 20: Week 8

BOULDER, Colo. – This week’s Canterbury D1A Top 20 has a few teams in new spots, but not nearly the amount of movement we witnessed in last week’s massive shakeup in the rankings.

The top half of Canterbury’s rankings are unchanged except for Army and Davenport swapping places. Army falls back to No. 8 after West Point’s second loss in as many weeks, this time to Kutztown. Davenport fills Army’s spot at No. 7. The Panthers rebounded from their loss to No. 5 Indiana by topping Notre Dame College, 38-3.

In the bottom half of the Top 20, Air Force, Colorado State, and Ohio State each improved by one spot in this week’s rankings. The Zoomies and Rams were beneficiaries of West Conference victories over Colorado and Wyoming, respectively. The Buckeyes’ tie versus Wisconsin pushes Ohio State one spot behind its Big Ten Universities counterpart at No. 13.

Elsewhere in the Big Ten, Michigan’s second consecutive win places the Wolverines back inside the Top 20 at the expense of LSU.
