MARIETTA, Ga – Life U Rugby will be looking for a new Head Coach after Andrew “Tui” Osborne informed Life U officials today that he and his family will be relocating at the end of October.

Osborne has been involved in the Life U Rugby Program in various capacities for the past seven prolific years as both a player and coach. He took over the helm when Dan Payne was named Athletic Director at Life U in fall 2014. In his first season Osborne led the team to an undefeated regular season and a third straight trip to the USA Rugby D1A National Championship game last May.

Osborne, his wife and young daughter will be relocating to Buffalo, New York to be near family. Said Osborne, “I’ve been very lucky and blessed to have been part of the team here at Life U for the past seven years. My family is very important to me, and my wife and I make a great team of our own. And we decided that this was the best move for us as a family as we move into the next stage of our lives. It was a hard decision to make as I have a deep dedication to the program.”

Life U Athletic Director Dan Payne said, “Tui has been a mainstay in our program and contributed greatly as a player and coach. He has been a great steward of the program during this past year while we experienced transition and growth. We recognize the importance of family and fully support his decision. We will certainly miss him as a coach and key figure, and I will miss him as a friend. We wish him well in this next chapter of his life.”

Osborne will remain with the Life U Rugby Program through the fall season before departing at the end of October.

Said Payne, “We have very high standards here at Life U, and we will be conducting a nationwide search, beginning immediately, for a new head coach to lead our great program onward and upward.”
